23 Gladstone House, Hadley Shopping Centre, Hadley, Telford. TF1 5NF So you’ve got questions? No problem.
I’m worried about contact, black eyes, broken noses etc? Unless you are a professional fighter we all have to get up and go to work in the morning. None of the training or drills at Telford Thai Boxing will jeopardise this. I have been training for over 23 years and have never gone home with a black eye or broken my nose. Our training is very careful. Anyone who is reckless is asked to leave immediately. I’ve heard that the shin conditioning is really bad, is it? Though we do condition the body for physical training we do not kick trees or tyres etc! This kind of extreme training is not sensible for our members who have normal lives to go back to after training. Everyone works to their own ability. I really want to do a martial art but would Thai Boxing be right for me? Come along, give it a go. I knew I wanted to train in a fighting art for years but was always to hesitant to go along. In the end I found out a friend was training. I went along and have never looked back. Everyone is really friendly and the training is great. I worked my way up. Now I run my own classes. I wish I had started years before I did. Most of our members, guys and girls, say exactly the same. Will I have to fight? No. 95% of our members have no interest in fighting at all. They love the training but are not interested in fighting. That’s perfect. It’s not all about Train hard, Fight Easy. We like to Train Hard, Enjoy Life. How much are the classes? There are a number of payment options. You can pay as you train or opt for monthly payments. Ladies Only Classes are £3 per class or just £15 per month—and you can come as often as you like. The General Thai Boxing and fighters classes are £6 per class or just £35 per month. Those people opting to pay month also get further discounts on kit, camps, fight night tickets etc. Do I have to bring someone to train with? Nope. Everyone works with everyone. Just turn up, pair off with someone in the class. They’re all friendly. I really like the idea of training and the sport but so not sure, have I seen to many Rocky movies? Perhaps, but I like the Rocky movies too! It’s really very simple, come along and watch a class. I bet if you do you will wish you had taken it up ages ago. If you are a little unsure, just come along and watch. No obligation. Meet some of the guys and girls and see how much fun they have. You will want to be a part of it. What other stuff do you do? We hold private lessons for those people that either can’t make the scheduled classes or wish to work on personal goals or specifics. We hold regular seminars and workshops in a number of styles and disciplines for everyone that wants to add to their training. We tailor dedicated classes for groups or organisations such as teams/companies, the forces, hospital staff, police etc. We run a Summer Camp and a Winter Camp every year focussing on getting away for 3 days and dedicating ourselves to training (and a party or 2!). We run preseason booster training for a number of sports teams getting them up and running and giving them an advantage over the opposition (our clients are very successful and swear by our preseason/midseason training courses). We attend at least 5 fight nights per year in Boxing, Muay Thai, MMA etc so that our members who do not compete have the opportunity to witness live the fighting arts in action. We attend seminars and conventions every year so that our instructors and members have the opportunity to train in all the martial arts and fighting systems. In recent years we have trained in Thailand, USA, Canada, Germany, France, Austria, and the list is growing. Our Instructors teach regularly at 2 gyms in Sweden where we have close friends and like minded fighters & martial artists. Our senior members regularly go out for drinks, dancing, and dodgy food. It’s probably best that we don’t talk about the dancing! Contact us now and ask any question about Telford Thai Boxing. |
